Founder & head coach

Ben Larson

Ben has been training for more than 20 years, and he says fitness saved him after years of drinking too much. He started out lifting weights in ordinary gyms, then a friend got him into functional fitness, which is training based on everyday movements like lifting, carrying and squatting.

He's trained and competed alongside some serious athletes. Over five years ago he started his mobile bootcamps so people of all abilities could train somewhere they felt safe, and he understands what it's like to deal with anxiety and poor mental health. Now he's got his own gym.

Coach

Vicki Smith

Vicki started her own fitness journey in 2016. At the time she weighed 18 stone 13 and had never been inside a gym.

Six years later she was 8 stone lighter and had qualified as a gym instructor and personal trainer. She knows how nerve-racking it is to walk into a gym for the first time, because she's done it.

  • Level 2 gym instructor
  • Level 3 personal trainer

She's strict about technique, because moving well is what keeps you safe. Rachael works full time and trains to compete, so she covers classes when needed and you'll often see her training in them too.
